Q: Who is going to be my child's coach?
A: Coaches are all volunteer parents, guardians or 18+ AYSO volunteers. The coach or team manager will contact you via email or phone once teams are formed. If you don't hear from anyone by August 1, 2024, please contact your division commissioner which can be found on our Regional Board webpage.
Q: When and where are practices?
A: All practices must take place on fields during the days and times for which our Region holds a city permit for. Practice days, start times, and length of the practice vary depending on the division and coach availability. Practices can be held at parks in the cities of Alhambra or Monterey Park and games will be at Almansor Park.
Q: When does the season start/end?
A: Practices start in August for most divisions. Games for the Core program typically begin the weekend after Labor Day, and end before the Thanksgiving holiday.
Q: Where and when are the games?
A: Schoolyard (5U) through 12U, games are typically at Almansor Park on Saturdays and Sundays for 12U between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; starting times vary week to week. For 14U through 19U, there may be travel involved, usually in the surrounding cities (e.g. Pasadena, San Gabriel, El Monte, etc.). These divisions may play on Sundays.
Q: How can I help AYSO Region 60?
A: Thank you for considering to volunteer for AYSO. We are always in need of coaches, assistant coaches, referees, and other important positions throughout the season. AYSO has a great training program, no experience is necessary - only the desire. Q: If I volunteer can I pick who I volunteer with?
A: We are unable to grant specific requests to be paired up with other volunteers. While this may not appear to affect others it does affect the process of building balanced teams for fair play.
