2023 National Games

Lead by Coaches Julio Sanchez and Jerry Rodriguez, Region 60's 13UG Team takes 2nd Place at the 2023 AYSO National Games!

AYSO is excited to bring back its National Games from July 24-30, 2023 in beautiful Orange County, California [click here]. The first National Games were held in 1998 and started out as a “good idea” that took the strength of volunteer power to pull it off. Being held nearly every-other-year since, the National Games attracts teams from all over the country in the following divisions:

CORE: 10U | 12U | 14U | 16U | 19U

EXTRA: 10U | 11U | 12U | 13U | 14U | 16u

Regions/teams must apply to participate far in advance. Due to the high demand and need for geographic representation, teams are selected through rounds of lottery drawings.

Region 60 was fortunate to win spots for five of our team (more than any other Region in the West San Gabriel Valley) and we are proud to be sending some of our top talent in players, coaches, referees and other volunteers:

11UG EXTRA – Coach Manny Olea
13UB EXTRA – Coach Brett Wakino
13UG EXTRA – Coach Julio Sanchez

Our teams each played up to 7 games over the length of the tournament, facing off against opponents from all over California, Arizona, Hawaii, Illinois and Florida.
